Echinacea Purpurea Purple Coneflower Seeds

Packet of 100+ seeds!

Beautiful flowering medicinal herb, very drought hardy too. Traditionally used to treat just about everything. American Indians used it to treat rattlesnake bites, bee stings, headaches, general aches and pains, toothache, and sore throats. European settlers used it for the treatment of more serious stuff like scarlet fever, syphilis, malaria, blood poisoning, and diphtheria, and even today it is a major ingredient in a myriad of natural over the counter pills and potions.

Believed to be a strong immune stimulant, and shown in some studies shown to slightly reduce the chance of getting colds and flu, and the duration of symptoms.

In Germany it is an approved medicine to treat colds, upper respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, and speed the healing of wounds. The whole plant excluding the root is normally dried and made into a tea. Not bad really, though I haven’t noticed any real effects from it.

Growing it is easy normally, particularly in spring and summer.

If the seeds don’t sprout within three weeks just put the pot in a plastic bag in the fridge for ten days, then bring it outside again. Little buggers should pop in a couple weeks.

Or just leave them sit, either way works well.

Grown by me and the Mrs organically, no chems, no nasties, no problems!!!
