Kaffir Lime Citrus Hystrix Seeds

Essential ingredient in so many Asian dishes, including “Tom Yum Goong,” spicy noodle dishes and authentic tasting curries.
Interesting number eight shaped leaf that is highly aromatic and flavoured.
A little bit of leaf, just chopped up in a curry or noodle dish really adds something special, and considering how little you need it is amazing the difference in flavour and complexity. Couldn’t live without them, and I am telling you, fresh is definitely best!
Small bushy shrub or tree that does well in the ground or in pots, so it is perfect for city folks that don’t have a lot of spare room. The leaves are the most used part of the plant and they are awesome, but the fruit themselves are pretty cool too!
The fruits juice is much more acidic than the standard lemons or limes, due to the higher levels of citric acid and ascorbic acid (Vitamin C).

Makes a great cordial or “lemonade” and is a perfect mixer with homebrew Vodka, apparently.
The fruits peel is great for cleaning just about anything, due to the very high levels of aromatic, volatile oils.
Forget “Bergamot” or commercial “Power” orange oil based products.
Just squeeze the rind, and rub on with a cloth, count to five, then just wipe away the stains! White goods, glue and gum residue from stickers and price tags, all sorts of stuff. (patch test first obviously!)
If you want to make your own oil based cleaning product for later use, without steam distillation or high tech contraptions you can remove the rind and place it in a jar. Then, add a high percentage alcohol (vodka) or methylated spirits, put the lid on and shake vigorously. Keep it in the dark for a few weeks shaking it up every now and then, to help dissolve the oils and waxes in the rind. Strain it and wack it in a squirt bottle. We use it all the time and it smells awesome!
As there is only a small percentage of oils, and all the alcohol or methylated spirits completely evaporates, there is no residue left behind. Just a pleasant citrus smell, which is really refreshing.
Great for wood too, like a natural nontoxic furniture polish, which fills scratches, gives a beautiful dark sheen to wooden items.
Perfect for cutting boards and bench tops as it is a natural antibacterial antifungal and antiviral, it leaves them a whole lot safer too! On par in potency as all the toxic rubbish you get at the supermarket, just without the horrible smell and added carcinogens.
