Leonotis Nepetifolia 50grams Dried Leaves & Flowers

Leonotis Nepetifolia 50grams Dried Leaves & Flowers

Leonotis Nepetifolia 50grams Dried Leaves & Flowers

Huge big bag of leaves and flower heads.

All roughly chopped with the large stems removed, and just under 2 ounces total weight!

Want to know how we make this blend?

It is pretty technical so pay close attention…

First of all, we grow the plant organically ourselves, with no chems, pesticides or other rubbish.
P.S. Other Leonotis products like seeds, petals and leaves are available in this LINK HERE.

Once it is nearly fully grown and the plant is 3/4 mature (while it is still green and fresh, well before it dies off), we harvest the pods and leaves and put them in plastic tubs, in the dark to dry.
Then comes step two, the most important part. Where we remove the stems and then roughly chop the flower heads and leaves.

That’s it, the end…..

What you are buying, is just like the pictures, a large, more than 50gram bag of chopped herb, fresh as fresh can be.

Makes a great tea, incense, or smoke blend.

Leonotis Nepetifolia Seeds Klip Dagga Spiky Orange Seeds

Leonotis Nepetifolia Seeds Klip Dagga Spiky Orange Seeds

Leonotis Nepetifolia Seeds “Klip Dagga” orange form.

200+seeds!

Wonderful tall and unusual, orange flowers, on apple sized spiky spheres.

Some plants get huge, with the biggest we have grown being ~3.5 meters high and about 2 meters wide in its 2nd year.

Attracts masses of butterflies and small birds who come for the nectar and in the USA it is apparently planted specifically to attract humming birds.

Hardiest plant we have on the property. It produces a large amount of viable seed, and seedlings pop-up everywhere around the base, ready to be transplanted wherever they are needed.

As it has African origins it handles the dry really well, and I NEVER bother to water them.

In the wetter months the growth is quite phenomenal and can be used as a cut and come again mulch around other plants.

Even with the devastating and quite major flooding we had here recently its still thriving. Some plants were underwater for a week or more with no ill effects that I can see.

So much more interesting that a sunflower yet even easier to grow.

Sprinkle seeds on dirt. Water and wait.

It produces a huge amount of flowers.

Many more kilos per plant than any other of the family I have grown, and these are traditionally used as a very relaxing bitter tea or cigarette substitute, due to the high alkaloid content, particularly “leonurine”.

Plenty of online data about “leonurine” and its traditional, medicinal, and relaxation uses so you will not need to contact me about it.

Seriously!

Bulk Dried Leonurus Sibiricus Marihuanilla Little Marijuana

Bulk Dried Leonurus Sibiricus Marihuanilla Little Marijuana

Bulk Dried Leonurus Sibiricus Marihuanilla Little Marijuana

Bulk Packet of 15+grams freshly dried organic herb!

The equivalent of five smaller 3+gram bags, but for the price of four!

Picked from our home grown plants, packed and posted out fresh to you.

Called a heap of different things, Siberian motherwort, Marihuanilla, little marijuana, marihuanilla, marijuanillo, mahjiki, Chinese motherwart, ich mau thao, i mu isa, amor mio, mehajiki, yakumosos, yi mu cao and honeyweed to name a few.

Very attractive large flowering herb. It starts of small and takes a while to get started, but it really grows big in the last few months.

I have had them get 2.5meters high and about 1.5meters wide in good soil here, much smaller and more manageable in pots if kept regularly pruned.

Lovely lacy foliage, Christmas tree shaped plant that ends up covered of pink and purple flower buds.

The traditional uses of the plant are really wide with the Chinese using the herb to treat “loss of potency in men”, as a diuretic and to relive the pain associated with postpartum bleeding or painful menstruation. In Mexico an alcohol extraction is made by chopping finely and soaking the leaf root and stem in liquor, then filtering and applying the medicine to joints to relieve the pain and inflammation associated with arthritic conditions.

It was also used as a tea by many cultures to help with hormone imbalance and “womens issues”.

These days the main use is as a smoking herb or base herb to many of relaxing tea blends that are now widely available these days. I use it as a tea myself and find it help heaps on those hot, sticky, summer nights, when I just can’t get comfortable and get to sleep.

It has a reputation for being very similar in effect to Marijuana, but I personally think this mostly stems from its very similar appearance, but saying that it does have a mild sedative effect much like the rest of the family.

Grown by me and the Mrs organically, no chems, no nasties no problems!!!

P.S. If you only want a little Dried Herb.

NOT FOR WESTERN AUSTRALIA or TASMANIA due to added expense and drama involved.

If you decide to try and buy anyway, this item will not be sent. 🙂
