Sydney Golden Wattle Acacia Longifolia Seeds
15+Seeds of the iconic Australian native species.
Most commonly called the Sydney Golden Wattle, Long-leaved wattle, Acacia Trinervis, Aroma Doble, Golden Wattle, Coast Wattle or even the Sallow Wattle.
Very hardy plant that grows abundantly in its native range south eastern Australia.
Everywhere from the bottom end of Queensland, eastern New South Wales, eastern and southern Victoria, and south eastern South Australia.
Very fast growing reaching seven to ten meters in five years or so. Drought and frost tolerant, thriving in most soils, even dry exposed sandy areas.
So much that it has become a bit of a problem plant overseas…
Used for land stabilisation, as a food and dye plant, tanning due to the high levels of tannin in the wood, and as a fast growing, nitrogen fixing timber crop in many parts of the world.
Wikipedia tells me that it is a major problem weed in Africa and Spain, and that it contains the following naturally occurring chemicals>>>
dimethyltryptamine 0.2-0.3%, and histamine
