When we started out postage was less than half what it is now so adding an extra shipping fee on top seemed a bit rude, just couldn't do it.

Later on as the price crept up keeping the free Aussie shipping became a point of pride, and while it meant that if the first order a new customer made was small we would only break even, it didn't ever really matter.

Once folks had bought once, the vast majority returned soon after to place a much bigger order.
That second larger one, along with their other follow up orders every now and then is how we managed to keep the rent paid all these years.

Times have changed, everyone is feeling the pinch, and with the latest increase being 60 bloody cents, it brings just the stamp price on a single item order to $3.00!

Most things we sell are ~$6.00 a packet, most orders are single items, and there is still the transaction fees, website expenses, paper ink and packaging, fuel tools maintenance, not to mention regular dramas like crop failure, insects and critters.

We hate to do it, but this is us giving you a heads up in advance.

From May 1st, there will be a $5 flat-rate shipping fee for all Australian orders.
If your order tops $30, the shipping's on us. No change for our international customers, it's still a $AUD40 flat rate to cover the crazy cost of that.
If you want to save a couple bucks put your order in before May 1st, or just order a few different species at a time later on down the track.

Hope this makes sense and you understand our reasoning.
