Alrighty, enough of that rubbish, here's the real wack.
I truly do mean everything I said about seeds being a great investment, and that bit's all 100% true.
The other big part is with us heading into the colder months our Aussie sales are heading down, as is pretty normal every year.

Unfortunately this year is gonna be a bit different..
Couple years back Covid dramas killed international sales as Australia post removed all "letter" mail. Parcel only now, and it's crazy expensive with stamps alone costing us 200-740% more than just a couple years ago.
Obviously international folks don't want to pay that nonsense and it is only because we have rare plants you can't get anywhere else in the world that we still have any international sales at all.

When the spicy cough originally kicked off that meant a rough couple months followed by a pretty good year overall due everyone wanting to stock upon seeds, and none of our competitors being able to supply them. Most are bulk buying importers so they don't even grow them(Nearly all big Australian based seed suppliers, best not to think to deep about that...).

We were in the middle of a really bad drought at the time, so if anything Covid was kind of a lifesaver for us.
Unfortunately that dry year was followed by another one, but this time even worse, meaning we lost pretty much everything to the hungry critters.

Huge dragonfruit plants on posts, nasty spiky cactus, even toxic horrible tasting stuff like belladonna was completely eaten by hungry critters, so I couldn't restock anything, and nearly every replanting was a total bust.

This is why lots of stuff is currently sold out and trust me, I really do wish I had more stock to sell you!

We have finally had some great rain which is AWESOME(a little bit too much if I'm being honest, but hey I'm not complaining!) and a mad replanting frenzy is currently underway, but between right now and when the next crops are finished is gonna be a long stretch, and those harvests are going to be very small as my re-plantings were small.

After a couple years of repeated failures and the lowest rainfalls in decades I wasn't sure if it was just gonna be another dismal year of growth. I couldn't justify investing time into planting things that I just wouldn't have the water to keep alive.

Long story short my AU sales are way down, and they keep heading down further every day with the endless doom and gloom in the news.
I won't have the normal bump I have come to rely on from international sales now either, despite the weather is warming up and peak planting is just beginning everywhere else in the world.

With click bait spam nonsense being all the rage at the moment I figured monkey see, monkey do!
