Red Bottle Brush Callistemon Citrinus Flower Seeds

Packet of 100+ seeds!

This one is a really pretty little native tree.
It’s a compact shrub about two meters high and about a meter round.
Handles the dry times and well, but just loves the wet, putting on masses of new growth.

Huge flush of flowers each year that smell really great, and attract all sorts of cool bees.
The tiny native ones especially, but also the big loud bumblebees and the european honey bees, as well as heaps of cool birds.
Friar birds, little wrens, finches, parrots, you name it, this fella attracts them.

If you cut off a couple flowers and dip them in iced water it makes a refreshing iced tea. Tastes just like the Aussie bush!

We have five slightly different ones all in a row, and this seed is a mixture of all of them.
Grows really easily just mixed in a well draining sandy soil mix and kept a little moist.
Looks really good producing flowers for months, then nuts for months, then a flush of new pale green and purple foliage that smells amazing.
It has a lovely natural dome shape to the foliage if left untrimmed.

It can live up to 50 years apparently, and also handles pruning well.
Does great in a large pot!

Grown by us organically, no nasties, no chems, no problems!!!

NOT FOR WESTERN AUSTRALIA or TASMANIA due to added expense and drama involved.

If you decide to buy anyway, despite me politely asking you not to, I will NOT be sending this item and you will receive a substitution of my choosing. 🙂
